Who operates Go on Rent-a-Car

Go on Rent-a-Car is not a franchise or a booking agent. It is run directly by Japox Corporation Co., Ltd. (ジャポックスコーポレーション株式会社), a company based in Kamata, Ota City, Tokyo. Japox rents the cars itself, under a permit for the paid rental of private vehicles under Article 80(1) of Japan's Road Transport Act, and its name appears on every page of this site and in our Rental Terms.

Go on Rent-a-Car is one of the company's mobility services: you pick up and return the car at Haneda Airport Terminal 3, in the P5 car park on the 8th floor.

From car workshop to mobility tech

Japox started in 2019 as an automotive services company. Its first work was car maintenance, towing arrangement, bodywork, inspection and repair, car sales, export and car rental. The company then moved into AI-powered information and communication services. Today it presents itself on two foundations: automotive professionals who know cars from the workshop floor, and transparency based on data science.

That mix explains why a technology company runs a rental car: Japox knows how cars are serviced and valued, and it builds software to make car information clear. Go on Rent-a-Car applies the same approach to renting a car at Haneda.

What "Powered by 瞬カー ShuunCar" means

At the foot of every Go on page you see the badge Powered by 瞬カー ShuunCar, which links to japox.jp. It tells you that Go on Rent-a-Car comes from the company behind ShuunCar.

瞬カー® (ShuunCar) is Japox's service for businesses such as car dealers, car buyers, lease companies, financial institutions and exporters. It helps with two everyday problems in the car trade: checking vehicle information takes time, and valuations often depend on one person's judgement. ShuunCar provides vehicle data and a reference price estimate; the final decision still needs a check of the actual car.

• Trademark: 瞬カー® is a registered trademark of Japox Corporation (No. 6830748).
• Patent: a technology that uses technology including artificial intelligence (AI) to identify vehicle attributes from vehicle identification information and apply them to sales support and price calculation (Japanese Patent No. 7588424).

You do not need ShuunCar, an account or any app to rent from Go on. The badge simply shows who stands behind the service.

What a tech operator changes for you

Fully digital before you land

1. Book online and choose pick-up and return times between 09:00 and 20:00 Japan time.
2. Pay the rental and the required Safety Pack online. The booking is confirmed when payment is complete.
3. Upload photos of your passport, driving licence and International Driving Permit (or official Japanese translation). Every document is checked by our AI system and by our staff before you arrive.
4. Receive the meeting point at Haneda by email, then walk about 5 minutes from Terminal 3 arrivals to the P5 car park, 8th floor. See our Haneda Terminal 3 pick-up guide.

Please still bring the original documents: we check them at the handover.

Transparent pricing

• All prices include tax, and the longer you rent, the less you pay per day.
• The Safety Pack (¥1,650 per day) is required and is shown in the total; with it you pay ¥0 for covered accident damage. Details are in our guide to Japan rental car insurance.
• The ¥50,000 deposit is a card hold at pick-up, not a charge. At return we settle any extras from the hold and release the rest.

Digital accident reporting

In an accident, call the police (110) first, or 119 for injuries, then call us. When it is safe, open the "Car photos & accident report" page for your booking and send the report with photos and your location. You can send the first report without photos and add them later.
